"I Love You." by The Neighbourhood

Hello readers,
Today I am here to recommend an album, I Love You. by The Neighbourhood and I have to say I am hooked! The band consists of five members including the vocalist, Jesse Rutherford who is in his early 20s.

The songs are filled with dark, mysterious atmosphere and with a touch of haunting tone and brilliant Lana Del Rey-like vocal. The album starts off with the first track, How which showcased 1 minute, 17 seconds haunting introduction and later Jesse's emotional vocal. Everybody's Watching Me (Uh Oh), Sweater Weather, Let It Go, Alleyways, W.D.Y.W.F.M?, Flawless and Female Robbery are the highlights of the dark, indie pop album. The songs' composition were interesting and I enjoyed the chorus especially. Besides the album being dark, it also has a touch of aesthetic hip-hop beat and R&B feel which can be heard on Sweater Weather. You will understand what I mean when you check out the song including the black and white imagery music video which I enjoyed. Female Robbery showcases about the dark side of a "psycho stalker" and the haunting, lingering vocal of Jesse. It has a music video to accompany the song.

I Love You. has eleven songs in total and the album cover has symbols including the upside down house which is the official logo of the band. This album is definitely recommended if you are an indie, alternative, rock fan or someone who prefer radio-friendly songs. :) So go and give this album a try! The album can be listen or play on Spotify, Deezer or YouTube.
