Movie review: Now You See Me

"Now you see me, now you don't."

Now You See Me is a caper film which involved four illusionists known as the Four Horsemen who "robbed" a bank during their performances and reward the audience with the money. Four Horsemen consisted of Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher), Jack Wilder (Dave Franco) and Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson). As the performances revolved around the bank heists, the FBI agent Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) is called to investigate the thief with partner, Alma Vargas (Mélanie Laurent).

The caper film has lots of cool magic which amazed me because I have never seen such stunning magic acts before and The Four Horsemen amazed me with individual member with special illusion ability. Their magic acts made me as though I was watching a real, live magic show. The story plot was interesting yet surprising because of its ending and it does explained lots of how an illusionist planned its act and how did he/she do that. However, the weak point of the story plot was how did the Four Horsemen escaped by jumping down from the roof and turned into money? Most of the story explanations were not clear enough and also some are left without explanation. Because of the film's weak point, the story might lead to confusion for some audience.

Moving on to my opinion of this film, Now You See Me offered brilliant cast and even with the weak point, the film was still enjoyable. With many actions and magic, Now You See Me is a film you should check out, especially if you are someone who is interested in magic tricks.

Rating: 6.5/10

P.S Noticed the font size of the words? I wondered why it is bigger than the other posts when I did not changed any post settings.
