Movie review: Red 2

WARNING: THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS HERE.

Hello readers,
As I have promised myself, I did went to watched Red 2. Since I did not went to watched Red (2010), I will not do a comparison but I will treat Red 2 as a solo film itself.

The film is very, very entertaining and it made the audience stay or feel alive. I can ensure you that this film will definitely 'tickles' you because of its comedic yet sarcastic acts. To me, Red 2 is the sexiest, badass and 'delicious' spy action film I have ever seen. Some of the cast were really charming, especially I could not help but to say that Helen Mirren was the sexiest MI6 spy (I know she is not young) I have seen. The film managed to give a twist and suspense with additional touch of comedic acts. I love the moment when Lee Byung Hun swerved the car and Mirren took our her guns and started shooting at the cars. After shooting, Lee and Mirren's characters continued to drive on while the enemy's car was overturned dramatically. Watching that particular scene reminded me of the filming technique used in Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood.

I can swear that I did not expect Anthony Hopkins to play as the villain who was locked up at a special cell for thirty-two years. His performance as Edward Bailey was impressive. The chemistry between each cast were excellent indeed and without the chemistry, I do not think that the film would be interesting.

With many comedic and tough acts, Red 2 sure knows how to balanced everything off. Like watching action film that is sexy, tough and with comedy touch? Be sure to catch this film!
