"Drowners" by Drowners

Hello readers,
I am here today to talk about this indie rock album, Drowners which I have been hearing for the past weeks. Drowners is also the name for the Welsh-American alternative band which consists of three members including model turned singer, Matthew Hitt.

Drowners is an album specifically for people who enjoys soft tune and the fine rock songs, something a little similar to The Royal Concept and much softer than Arctic Monkeys. I am very amazed by how this album only lasted for 31 minutes and most songs tend to have a duration of estimated 2 minutes such as opening track, Ways to Phrase a Rejection and Long Hair. One problem of Drowners is that most songs have similar tune and therefore it is hard to differentiate which song is for which.

Drowners' popular song of the self-titled album is Luv, Hold Me Down which contained a 'synthesized-guitarish' melody and has a lovely duration of 2 minutes and 57 seconds, so you should give a chance to this song! Another song to recommend from this album is A Button on Your Blouse which offers cheesy chorus of 'undoing your little button on your blouse'.

If you are really looking for soft alternative music, you should definitely listen to Drowners by Drowners. It has been released onto iTunes and Spotify eight months ago on my birthday, January 28! I recommend buying on iTunes which cost SG$9.98. :-)
