Hello readers,
I am going to write a review on FX television series, Fargo. I know I am way late on this series since it aired in April and concluded its first season somewhere in June (if I am not wrong). Fargo is somehow a remake of 1990s film of the same name. The series starred prominence actors, Colin Hanks, Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, and some unknown cast.
Fargo is a strange, dark comedy television series about a man, Lester (Freeman) who met an unknown fellow, Lorne (Billy Bob Thornton) and has since been influenced with his violence and malice. Meanwhile, the police officers are trying to solve the cases linked to these two guys. In Season One, the story was set in 2006 instead of 2014.
While this series has some suspense, its storyline is promising including Martin Freeman's commonly known "awkwardness" appearance and Billy Bob Thornton's mysterious character, Lorne. This series is like another production of Hitchcock, but the modern take of suspense. I, myself never thought the storyline will be intriguing and if I had completed the first season, I wouldn't mind checking out the upcoming Season Two next year. The first episode was a great introduction between the two lead characters, especially how Lester "ain't man enough".
If you are someone who loves Hitchcock-style, slow moving drama, something suspenseful or maybe stupidity to watch during the winter season, I would recommend you watching Fargo. It is a series which will not disappoint you.
P.S. I like the main theme music.
