Hello readers,
I am here today to write about the 2013 horror-thriller film, Stoker and it starred Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode and Nicole Kidman.
The story being about a family who have recently lost one of their members to a car accident. Uncle Charlie played by Matthew Goode turned up unexpectedly after the funeral and to the family's surprise, no one has ever heard or seen him before after many years. The film is filled with suspense and creepiness, similarly to some South Korean psychopathic thriller films.
I read the screenplay of Stoker last week and I am aware that there were changes in the film itself including the ending scene. The filming techniques and effects used were sightly creepy and no, this film is not that scary. Matthew Goode as Uncle Charlie is one handsome psychopath who has a long interest of India Stoker played by Mia Wasikowska. I can't imagined the years this man went through by sending letters from his "overseas trips", just to planned and be more closer to this "soon-to-be" psychopath.
Although Stoker did not really follow the actual screenplay, I did enjoyed the film for its thriller and the actors who portrayed their characters very well. If you happened to like South Korean thriller, horrifying-style films, I recommend you to watched this film. As you watched, the more intriguing mysteries will be revealed in the family.
